How to Get Cheap(er) Airline Tickets

REAL TALK: AIRLINE TICKET PRICES

We’ve all seen it. We’ve all experienced it. Airline ticket prices in the last few years have seen a major increase.

Sadly, it appears that the days where you pick your *perfect* travel dates and find a ticket under $200 that is not a middle seat are few and far between

That being said, there are ways to get the lowest ticket price possible and travel on your (semi) preferred dates!

Bookmark this post for the next time you are searching for cheap(er) flights!

  • SkyScanner: I cannot say enough good things about this app! You can save potential flights, get alerts when the price fluctuates, and, if you’re flexible on destination, can search for the lowest price flights from your home airport to any place in the world!

  • Google Flights: Always one of the first places I look. This is a great way to compare prices and figure out what is available!

  • Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights): if you sign up for their service, you’ll get direct notifications on flight prices and how long they expect those prices to last!

  • Rome2Rio: This app will search for alternate routes for you to get to an attraction! For example, maybe it’s cheaper to fly into a different airport and take a train to your destination - this app will tell you!

Follow these tips and you should be able to grab some (slightly, hopefully) less expensive airline tickets!

Until next time,
