5 Things to Do on Maui

If you’re heading to Maui, Hawaii there are so many adventures that await you! That being said, here are my top 5 things that you must do once you arrive!

Drive the Road to Hana

Plan for a full day to do this! There will be many places to stop and excellent photo opportunities. Renting a car for this was the best way to go - I recommend getting a Jeep. Some of my favorite stops including Hana itself, Na'ili'ili-haele Four Waterfalls Hike, Coconut Glen’s ice cream stop, and more!

Visit Haleakala at sunrise

It’s an early wake up call and *slightly* freezing but the views are spectacular! We booked directly through our hotel with a tour company and drove right up to the top. We then got to experience a bike ride down the volcano and ended with a zipline through the canopy. I definitely recommend dressing warm and making sure you have snacks and water with you!

Go whale watching.

Especially during the month of February, whales can be spotted off of the coast of Maui. We saw so many so close up - it was incredible! This was actually something that was not on our original itinerary but while we were there we could see SO MANY whales from the beach that we decided to go for it! This was something that we booked directly through our hotel and the boat picked us up directly from our hotel. My advice: wear clothing that you aren’t afraid to get wet and sit near the front of the boat!

Visit Lahaina

Shop at all the local stores. There’s artwork, restaurants and beautiful views everywhere you look! We stopped at a few different places for drinks and food and enjoyed each one of them. It is also a great opportunity to support the local shops!

Go zip lining through the trees.

We did this on our way down from Haleakala and it was incredible to view all of the lush vegetation below. Make sure you have sensible clothing and shoes to do this and again, I recommend having some water and snacks with you just in case!

There is SO MUCH to experience on Maui - what would you do first?

Until next time,
